Stirling MSP Bruce Crawford has written to Stirling Council following a number of complaints from locals and visitors on the state of the public toilet facilities in Crianlarich.

Mr Crawford wrote to the Chief Executive of Stirling Council to ask what plans were in place for maintaining the toilets and what will be done to assess and address the complaints that had been made.

Commenting, Bruce Crawford said:

“I have spoken with a number of local people as well as visitors to the area who have raised this issue. These toilets are an important facility for tourists and it is crucial that we offer the highest standard possible.

“Having spoken with members of the Community Council, it was clear that there is a deep desire to see something done and I look forward to the response from Stirling Council on this matter.”

Trossachs and Teith SNP Councillor Evelyn Tweed, who is also pursuing this matter with Stirling Council, added:

“Crianlarich is a beautiful village and an attractive destination for visitors to the area. Properly maintaining the toilet facilities is hugely important to promoting the area and I am delighted that Bruce is also working with the local community on this matter.”
