Local MSP Bruce Crawford met with Town Break dementia support services at one of their Friday groups last week for a chance to have a chat with clients, staff and volunteers.
Town Break supports people throughout Stirling who have dementia in order to stay connected to their communities by offering various services.
On Friday, the group took part in a range of activities including ten-pin bowling, dominoes, and card games.
Commenting, Bruce Crawford said:
“It was great to have a chance to catch up with volunteers, staff and clients from the Town Break service on Friday. The work that they do in helping local people with dementia engage in social and community activities is so important.
“With the SNP partnership Administration on Stirling Council investing £100,000 in making Stirling a dementia friendly city over the next year, I hope to see better awareness and support within communities and the city centre to address some of the difficulties that many people with dementia find in terms of access.”
