Stirling MSP Bruce Crawford picked up a few tips at Forth Valley College last week on his visit to the Junior Chef Summer School.

Joining College Principal, Dr Ken Thomson, Mr Crawford was able to experience first-hand the learning programme for junior chefs at the campus in Stirling.

Students were hard at work, making sausage rolls, when the local MSP joined them for the morning.

The Junior Chef Summer School is open to students aged between 10 and 14 years.

Commenting, Bruce Crawford said:

“There is remarkable budding talent amongst these dedicated summer students.

“The hospitality sector is an important industry to the Stirling area, and I was delighted to see such enthusiasm amongst junior chefs to learn essential skills.

“This is a great course for young people to take on, covering cuisines from around the world and giving them a chance to experience new flavours and techniques.”
