Bruce Crawford from the Stirling Constituency joined over 150 people at a special event celebrating terminal illness charity Marie Curie’s latest fundraiser on Wednesday 20 June 2018.
The Blooming Great Garden Party held at Edinburgh’s Holyrood Park saw MSPs, volunteers and supporters join celebrations for the Blooming Great Tea Party campaign. The charity is also celebrating its 70th anniversary this year.
Blooming Great Tea Party is Marie Curie’s summer fundraising campaign which asks people to get together with friends, colleagues and family to throw a Blooming Great tea party, bake sale or ‘Bake off’ style competition and ask for donations in return. This year is the charity’s 70th anniversary.
Susan Lowes Marie Curie Policy & Public Affairs Manager said:
“Thank you to Bruce Crawford for his support. We hope people will be encouraged to get baking themselves and organise their own Blooming Great Tea Party. Every donation helps Marie Curie provide care and support to people living with terminal illness.”
Bruce Crawford added:
“Having hosted a Blooming Great Tea Party myself, I know the importance of Marie Curie and the work that they do. I was delighted to join other MSPs in Holyrood Park for this special event, celebrating the charity’s 70th anniversary this year.”
