Bruce Crawford met with a delegation from Action in Mind during a visit to the Scottish Parliament last week.

The delegation visited Mr Crawford at his parliamentary office and discussed the work they do in the local area.

Action in Mind is a leading local mental health charity, supporting people experiencing mental ill health living in Stirling and Clackmannanshire.

Commenting, Bruce Crawford said:

“I was delighted to meet those who are involved in delivering that provides the support that many vulnerable people who are facing mental health challenges need.

“This is Mental Health Awareness Week, and this year the focus is on stress – both a very serious cause of mental ill health, but can also be a symptom of it too. It’s important that we use this opportunity to raise awareness of how stress impacts us both at work and at home and how we can support each other by just acknowledging the signs.

“I fully commend the work that Action in Mind do and Mental Health Awareness Week serves as a timely reminder of the impact that their efforts have on people who are facing real challenges with mental health.”
